As an industry association we have been representing the corporate interests of the solar and solar storage industry in Germany and important foreign markets with competence and commitment for many years. We act as an informant, consultant and mediator in the areas of activity between industry, politics and consumers. We ensure investment security in the growing solar energy industry. All the important companies in the solar industry—from raw material suppliers and production companies, through traders to operating companies, planners and financiers—rely on the expertise and communication skills of the German Solar Association .
AFSIA is the reference association for solar professionals in Africa. The association is headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda and carries out solar-related activities and programs across Africa.Its regional coverage stretches from Egypt to South-Africa, from Cape Verde to Madagascar. AFSIA promotes solar power in the African region from large scale grid-connected projects to off-grid solar home systems, through hybrid systems including diesel and storage to solar water pumping, solar stoves or solar water heaters. AFSIA organizes networking opportunities for solar professionals and gives them access to the right information and the right network to expand their business and strengthen the solar industry across the continent.
KEREA is an independent non-profit association dedicated to facilitating the growth and development of renewable energy business in Kenya. KEREA was formed in August 2002 by members of the Renewable Energy Resources Technical Committee of the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and is registered under section 10 of the societies act. Amongst its key roles are promoting the interests of members of the renewable energy industry among government, public sector, the general public and any other organizations that may impact on the development of the industry; and the creation of a forum for the dissemination and exchange of information and ideas on matters relating to renewable energy development and utilization in Kenya.
USEA is an independent non-profit association dedicated to facilitating the growth and development of solar energy business in Uganda and East Africa region. USEA was formed in 2016 by private sectors companies that deal in solar energy business with help from private sector foundation, Ministry of Energy and Rural Electrification Agency and it is registered under section 10 of the Societies Act.
TAREA formerly TASEA (Tanzania Solar Energy Association) is a non-profit, non-government business member organization that brings together actors in the renewable energy sectors to promote the accessibility and use of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in the mainland Tanzania. It was registered by the Ministry of Home Affairs on 7th May 2001 with registration number SA10900. TAREA is the largest renewable energy and energy efficiency network representing over 900 registered members [Dec 2023]
ESAK was founded in 2019. ESAK is a member-based organisation composed of stakeholders in the electricity sector ranging from Independent Power Producers (IPPs), project developers, consultants, contractors, legal practitioners, finance organisations all working across different sub sectors of the electricity space in Kenya. ESAK’s commitment is to have a balanced representation of Kenya’s electricity sector and conduct business according to the highest ethical standards, considering social and environmental responsibility and respect for stakeholders’ groups.
Energy Private Developer’s association is a registered professional association in Rwanda, regrouping private companies operating in the energy sector. It is one of the 5 associations composing the Chamber of Industry under the Private Sector Federation (PSF) of Rwanda. EPD services to its members include Capacity Building, Renewable Energy awareness campaigns, Access to Finance facilitation, Trade Missions & B2B, Advocacy, Conferences and Exhibitions, Energy sector coordination, Energy Sector Research Projects, and Empowering Women in Renewable Energy.
